Patient of the Month

Our Paitent for the month is
Matt Fontana

Matt is 18 years old and is a freshman at Sonoma State University.  He has two older brothers, Steve and Greg.  He also has two pets: a cat named Sparkle and a gold fish named Orange Orange.

In addition to being a full-time college student, Matt is a member of the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, the Chemistry Club, the Biology Club and the Society of Physics Students.  He also enjoys bird watching and camping.  In the future Matt wants to become a scientist and perform research, and if possible, he would like to win a Nobel Prize.

Matt’s favorite actor is Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker in Star Wars.  His favorite movie?  Star Wars.

If Matt could meet anyone in the world, he would choose Pope Benedict.  Matt feels he would benefit from the Pope’s serene outlook on life.

Matt says braces are great because they will allow him to have a very nice smile.  Braces make playing the trumpet difficult, but Matt said this ultimately will improve his skills in the end and he looks forward to seeing their effect.

He feels the future of his smile is safe in the ‘steady hands’ of Dr. Smith.
